Kapp Alloy's SAC387 solid solder wire comes in a 3/32" (2.4mm) diameter on a convenient 1 lb spool. This lead-free, cadmium-free alloy (95.5% Sn/ 3.8% Ag/ 0.7% Cu) melts at just 426°F / 219°C, making it NSF compliant and potable water safe. It delivers tensile strengths up to 7,511 psi with strong resistance to vibration and stress on copper, brass, and stainless steel. Also widely used in wave soldering, selective soldering, and SMT electronics applications.
Used in the electronics industry through the following techniques:
