Kapp Alloy & Wire, Inc. is an American, veteran-led, ISO 9001-certified manufacturer specializing in high-purity solder, Babbitt, spray wire, and fluxes across a temperature range of 150°F to 800°F (65°C to 427°C). With more than 200 alloys and forms available — from 250 lb. payout paks of Tin-Zinc spray wire to 1 lb. Babbitt bars — we have the depth and flexibility to meet the needs of virtually any application or industry.

Kapp Alloy & Wire was founded by Mr. Donald Black in 1945, beginning with his very first invention — Alumite™ — a powerful solder still used today for cast alloy repairs. Through the 1960s and 1970s, our solder was a component of virtually every microwave and telephone manufactured in the United States. Our legacy of precision even extends beyond this world — Kapp Alloy solder traveled to the moon and back, used in instrumentation aboard the historic US Apollo missions.
