Kapp Alloy Hires New Sales Assistant

Kapp Alloy & Wire, the nationís leading manufacturer of high purity solder, spray wire, and Babbitt, has recently added Mr. Will Thomas as Sales Assistant. Increased inquiries and customers from Kapp Alloyís updated websites, kappalloy.com and solderdirect.com, have led to the creation of this new position. This is the second time that business growth has caused Kapp Alloy to add a position solely dedicated to sales and customer service.

Will comes to Kapp Alloy from the Oil Region Alliance of Business, Industry and Tourism, where he served as the Marketing Communications Manager. He brings strong experience in both customer service and sales to the Kapp Alloy team. He is also involved in the community through his positions on the Venango County Regional Planning Commission and the Oil City Main Street Committee, and as the president of the oil region Future Leaders and Entrepreneurs Exchange (FLEX). Kapp Alloy employees receive fire safety training

Employees at Kapp Alloy & Wire Inc. of Oil City were recertified (or certified in the case of new employees) in fire safety and response on Thursday.

Dave White of White Fire Extinguisher Inc. of Meadville conducted a hands-on fire safety training session at the plant. He is pictured here demonstrating to employees the proper use of new water mist extinguishers.

Each Kapp employee then put out a fire using the new extinguishers.

The staff also reviewed the plantís fire safety instructions and identified types of fires and the appropriate process for extinguishing individual fires.

Kapp Alloy staff are generally recertified on a yearly basis, or when a new employee is hired.
